About the Chef
My name is Marci Emery, and I’m the chef and owner of Marcel’s Personal Chef Service. I’ve wanted to be a chef all my life, so after I graduated from high school in Europe, I attended John Brown University and earned a degree in Food Technology and Nutrition. Since then, I’ve taken a number of continuing education courses and graduated from the Culinary Business Academy in California.
I’ve worked in virtually every area in the culinary industry throughout my career, advancing from server to chef in venues from Pennsylvania to Washington. I’ve served, created, cooked, designed, fried, baked, sautéed and grilled my way through restaurants, country clubs, diners, markets and churches, and truly enjoyed every experience. I feel very fortunate to work in this industry, whether it means cooking for intimate parties or preparing multicourse dinners for hundreds; as long as people need food, I’ll be delighted to work with it!
